Skagit Valley Tulip Festival 2026: Best Time to Visit, Bloom Updates & Travel Tips

Blog Kristi Jenkins March 25, 2026

Spring in Washington State means one thing, tulip season is here, and the breathtaking fields of Skagit Valley are already starting to bloom.
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is one of the most anticipated spring events near Seattle.
When Do the Tulips Bloom?

The tulip gardens are planted with early-, mid-, and late-blooming varieties to keep the display colorful throughout the festival. That said, bloom timing ultimately depends on the weather. Temperature changes, heavy rain, and strong winds can all impact when the tulips reach their peak.

In some years, blooms begin as early as March, while in others they last into May. While exact timing can’t be guaranteed, updates will be shared regularly so you can stay informed.

If you’re planning a trip in advance, mid-April is generally the best time to catch the tulips at their most vibrant.

Where to See the Tulips

Some of the most popular tulip farms in Skagit Valley include:

1.RoozenGaarde (THE iconic one)

RoozenGaarde is becoming more vibrant with each passing day. The tulips are already looking beautiful, and we anticipate an even more stunning display as we head into the first weekend of April.
2.Tulip Town (Fun + interactive vibe)

Welcome to Tulip Town, a breathtaking 30-acre farm where over 100 tulip varieties bring the season to life. More than six acres bloom in a vibrant tapestry that stretches across the valley, changing beautifully as the light shifts.
3.Tulip Valley Farms (MOST unique experience)

Each admission ticket includes access to a variety of experiences. Guests can enjoy Tulip Talk with Farmer Andrew (note: not available in March) and visit the Micro Mini Highland Cows from Compact Cattle Co. Explore 15 acres of tulips featuring over 130 flower varieties, including more than 100 tulip types, as well as the new display gardens. Tickets also include a free audio tour, plenty of photo opportunities, and much more!

4.Garden Rosalyn (Hidden gem)

Nestled in the heart of Skagit Valley with stunning views of the Cascade Mountains, Garden Rosalyn features gorgeous tulip fields during the festival season in April. This year, the fun starts a little earlier—doors open on March 24th!
