In the heart of the Pacific Northwest, you’ll find a charming city with a rich history. Situated along the eastern shore of Lake Sammamish, Issaquah is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Cascade Mountains, providing residents and visitors with breathtaking views and outdoor recreational opportunities. The city is known for its vibrant community, diverse neighborhoods, and a thriving arts scene. Issaquah's historic downtown, with its quaint shops and restaurants, adds to the city's unique charm. Home to world-class schools and a strong sense of civic engagement, Issaquah fosters a family-friendly environment. The numerous parks, trails, and green spaces contribute to the city's commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle. With a balance of natural splendor and urban convenience, Issaquah has become a sought-after destination that captures the essence of the Pacific Northwest's allure.

Here are a few of my favorite spots:

  • Boehm's Candies has been a tradition since 1942, and is a staple and a must-visit for residents and visitors alike. You can find specialty products, purchase both boxed and custom gifts and even take chocolate-making classes from their highly-trained staff. I often pop in here to get a box of custom truffles for clients and friends!
  • Gilman Village Specialty Shopping Center is the heart of downtown Issaquah and offers a unique shopping and dining experience that people travel from all over to visit. I love dining outside during the summer at Masa Mexican Kitchen & Cantina or meeting friends for happy hour at Flatiron Grill. At Christmastime, the village comes alive with all things holidays and my favorite shop, Lucky You, opens an all-Christmas store that is a wealth of decorations and gifts!
  • AMARONE in the Issaquah Highlands is a favorite for date nights and client happy hours! Featuring a creative Italian menu with some curated American bites, this has a cool vibe and often highlights local musicians. Check out the link for more details on their special events and holiday meals.
