Famous for its stunning natural beauty, Snoqualmie is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Explore miles of scenic hiking trails, go fishing in the pristine waters of the Snoqualmie River, or tee off at one of the area's world-class golf courses. For adrenaline junkies, nearby Snoqualmie Pass offers exhilarating skiing and snowboarding during the winter months. History comes alive in Snoqualmie's charming downtown area, where historic buildings, quaint shops, and cozy cafes evoke a sense of nostalgia. Visitors can learn about the city's rich heritage at the Northwest Railway Museum or experience the thrill of riding the historic Snoqualmie Valley Railroad. Snoqualmie's close-knit community is evident in its lively events and festivals, where neighbors come together to celebrate art, music, and local culture. The city's commitment to sustainability and conservation ensures that future generations can continue to enjoy its pristine natural surroundings for years to come.

Here are a few of my favorite spots:

  • The breathtaking beauty of Snoqualmie Falls is one of my favorite things about living in the Pacific Northwest. My favorite sunny Saturday would probably include a hike down to the base of the falls, then back up to my brunch reservation at Salish, Lodge & Spa. I’d be more than happy staying overnight and enjoying a spa day at their uniquely northwest setting and I’ve encouraged more than one transplant to put this at the top of their to-do list!
  • Take a walk down the quaint downtown area of Snoqualmie and make sure you stop at Snoqualmie Ice Cream for a sweet treat. They are family-owned and feature super-premium, natural ingredients. A few of our family favorite flavors are French Lavendar, Mountain Blackberry and Salted Caramel and you can find many of their pints in local grocery stores!
  • If a brewery is more up your alley, you have to stop into one of mine and Chris’ favorites, Snoqualmie Falls Brewery. They’re an independent craft brewery that’s been in the valley since 1997 and they host a lot of community events and parties at their facility downtown. They recently expanded to include a HUGE outdoor patio that’s perfect spring through fall. Try Chris’ favorite, Sour Crush with a pretzel and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
