Perched gracefully on the serene waters of Lake Washington, Mercer Island is a gem in the Puget Sound region of Washington state. This island city, located between Seattle and Bellevue, boasts a unique blend of exclusivity and community warmth. Known for its affluent neighborhoods and waterfront properties, Mercer Island offers residents a luxurious yet laid-back lifestyle. The city is interconnected by a network of bridges, providing easy access to the mainland and the vibrant cultural scenes of neighboring cities. Here are a few of my favorite spots:

  • Mioposto is a local pizza spot that also boasts a great brunch and lunch menu! I love their house-made meatballs and always order the beet salad and prosciutto e arugula pizza from their $19 lunch combo menu if I meet a friend or client for lunch. It’s also a great stop into Seattle if you’re seeing a concert at Climate Pledge Arena or taking in a game at Lumen Field.
  • Enjoy an afternoon at Luther Burbank Park | Mercer Island, Washington which features nearly a mile of Lake Washington waterfront, a children’s play area, off-leash dog park, rental areas for group picnics, tennis courts, boat dock, walking trails and public fishing pier. It’s also a great spot for senior pictures!
  • Plan a wine tasing at Barrels Wine Bar where they feature bottles from all over the world and create an intimate environment that’s perfect for a girls’ night! They offer a couple of great charcuterie boards for when you need a little snack with your wine.
